FAQ

If you're sure you're joining a non-premium server, try a different username. It means your username is taken by a premium user.

The Microsoft sign in is used for players who have bought Minecraft. If this error occurs:

You do not own the game, click 'Switch to offline mode' and enter a username that is not already taken by a premium user (use websites like namemc, search for your username and see if it's taken or not. Use if it's not taken).

You chose the wrong Microsoft account to sign in.

If you have already bought Minecraft and see this error, while using the correct account, restart the launcher.

Disable your AdBlock and try again. If you are still unable to download SKlauncher then try again with Incognito (InPrivate, Private) mode turned on. If the problem still persists then try to download sklauncher using different browser.

Try to delete folders from other launchers in .minecraft folder, other solution is to delete sklauncher folder in .minecraft and install it again.

If the solutions above doesnt work, check Firewall or your Anti-virus program, it might block Java from running. Update Java to required version.

Check your sklauncher logs text file and look for 'DNS Poisoning', if you have this issue, run antimallware software.

After it finishes, disconnect from your wifi, look for a file hosts located in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc, edit it with notepad++ and delete unwanted dns text lines without # at the beginning of the text lines.

If you done it properly, run cmd as administrator and type ipconfig /flushdns, it will flush all DNS to get rid of any potentially malicious entries. You should have something like this after you flush your DNS: Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache. After that just restart your pc, connect back to wifi and run sklauncher.

If it still does not work delete .json files of the launcher and run again

Turn on Compatibility mode so it will work correctly, it turns off skin function and yes, there is no other option.

If you already have your own skin, simply go to the customization view and upload it in the appropriate field. Remember to pay attention to the 'slim' field, which can affect the appearance of your skin. In case you are just looking for a skin - we recommend using our skins page, which contains thousands of skins ready to use.

If you already have your own cape, simply go to the customization view and upload it in the appropriate field. In case you are just looking for a cape - we recommend using our capes page, which contains thousands of capes ready to use.

Yes! If your friends or other players on the server also use the sklauncher then you will all see your skins in the game. Playing with our launcher is a prerequisite. If you have changed your skin and your fellow players do not see it, check if it is visible in your account settings on our website. Also try restarting minecraft along with the launcher.

The JAVA version of Minecraft does not support transparent skins by default, so they will not be visible without the appropriate mods. SKlauncher itself does not include a mod for visibility of transparent skins, as we are not modifying the game. However, if you feel the need to do so, nothing prevents you from finding a suitable mod.

As with the issue of transparent skins - the sklauncher does not modify the game itself, and this is necessary for animated skins to be seen in the game world. At the moment, we have no plans to change this. If you want to see an animated cape you will need to find a suitable mod.

Update your graphics drivers. If even after that Minecraft doesn't work, it means your GPU is too outdated to run Minecraft or it doesn't support the correct version of OpenGL.
